Children under 3 years of age cannot travel in a car without a suitable child car seat under any circumstances. For children above this age but under 150 cm in height, the use of an appropriate class of restraint system is required.

Violating these rules results in a fine of 50 leva and the deduction of penalty points from the driving licence.

It is important to note that the responsibility for properly securing the child lies with the driver of the vehicle, not the rental company. This means that before setting off, you must personally ensure that the seat is available and correctly installed.

Child Seat Groups Based on Height and Weight
